Get your club up and running on Teamlists in minutes.

Welcome to Teamlists! Whether you manage one team or an entire club, this quick setup checklist will help you maximise the platform from day one.

1. Personalise Your Squads and Teams

Structure your club on the platform to match how your club is run in real life.

For example, you might have two squads with multiple teams:

  • Men’s (1st Grade, 2nd Grade, 3rd Grade)

  • Women’s (1st Grade, 2nd Grade)

Or a single squad with multiple teams:
  • Premiers
  • Reserve Grade
  • Social

Setting up your team names allows for easy movement of players, communications with selected teams and accurate team selection later on.

2. Update Your Club Branding

Under settings, you should add your club logo and set your team colours. These updates appear on all messages, notifications, and availability requests, so take a few minutes to update, and then your players know it’s coming from your club, not a generic system.

3. Share Access with Coaches and Staff

Invite other coaches and team managers to join your club on Teamlists. Sharing access means everyone stays on the same page, and the workload doesn’t fall on one person. Teamlists is built to help multiple teams and coaches operate in sync.

4. Add Your Players

You have a few options here:

  • Add players one-by-one

  • Share a self-sign-up link with your playing group

  • Upload a list of players

The free plan allows for up to 50 players, plenty for testing with a couple of grades or enough to provide a free service to smaller clubs.

5. Assign Players to Their Selected Teams

Once your squads and teams are set up (step 1) and players are added (step 4), assign each player to their selected grade or team. This powers accurate selection, communication, and availability tracking.

6. Share Your Team Selections

Now you have your players in their selected teams, you can either embed this list in its current state on your club's website or share your link via social media, newsletter or other channels.

Any changes made on the platform will update automatically, and you can control when the team lists are published via the manage selections page.

7. Start Collecting Player Availability

Know who’s in and who’s out without the players needing to log in or sign up! Use Teamlists to request player availability for upcoming games or training sessions.

Coaches can then see who they can count on in real-time and see the availability over the top of the current team selections.

8. Encourage Players to Download the App

Ask your players to download the Teamlists app to maximise response times and simplify communication. Push notifications ensure they never miss a message, update, or change.

You're All Set!

With these steps completed, your club is ready to start using Teamlists like a pro. You can now select teams, manage last-minute changes, and keep everyone informed—all in one place.
