Select recipients
On all communication pages, there is a consistent experience of selecting who will receive your message.
You can bulk select:
- All Coaches and Admin users in the club
- All Players in the club
You can also select individual teams or non-selected player fields, like 'Available players', and your message will be sent to players currently selected in those teams.
Or select individual players or coaches, like if you want some people from outside the team to see the message or only send it to a subset of players.
Alternatively, you can use the 'All players' selection to select everyone and remove selections, such as players out for the season.
Create your notification
Notifications have two required fields: the headline or title of the notification and the body content. They are delivered, when available, via email and instant push notification when the member has installed the Teamlists companion app.
Headline: The headline is displayed first and is designed to be short and sharp. It will be the emails part of the notifications subject line and the bolded message in the app notification; examples would be 'Kickoff time update' or 'Training cancelled'
Content: Here, you can add a lot more detail, even paragraphs of content if required, and it will be added to the email content or truncated on the push notification but visible once opening the notification in the app.
Link: (optional) You can add a link, and members will see a button in the email to visit the link or have a link inside the app.
What members receive
Selected members will receive an email (if email address is set)
Selected members will receive a notification on their app, if they have the app installed.
Schedule notifications
Want a notification sent at a set time? No worries—simply 'Schedule' it by selecting a date and time to send it.
The scheduled time defaults to the start of the next hour but can be scheduled to deliver at any time.
Note: Scheduled messages can be deleted prior to them being sent and will appear above the compose notification section to prevent another user sending the same message.
